New forums!

Postby Jace on Tue Apr 01, 2008 3:59 pm

Welcome to the forums for disc golf in the Reno/Tahoe/Truckee area. Please feel free to introduce yourself and use the forums a lot. If you see anything that's lame, not working properly, or could use improvement, please private message me or e-mail me at jace@anarchygolfballs.com.

I'd also like to take this opportunity to point out that these forums are not maintained by anyone in any kind of official position. I'm a disc golf player in the Reno area who took it upon himself to start a forum, mostly for the purpose of helping players get to know each other, interact, get some games set up, etc. This isn't the official RGDA website nor is it necessarily endorsed by the RDGA or any other people in an organization worthy of an important acronym, and membership here does not include/preclude membership to anything else. This is simply a tool on the Internet that will allow players of the game to communicate better, and I hope no one takes offense to it being around.

Enjoy and see you out there!

Michelle,

I assumed the avatar function was on by default, but to my mistake it wasn't. I went into the administration panel and enabled it. If you go into your profile (click the "profile" link near the top of the page, in blue), there should be a section at the bottom devoted to uploading or linking to your avatar picture. Keep in mind the size limitation is 80x80 pixels.

Thanks for mentioning that!

It makes me sad that I didn't check this for a couple of weeks (I was on the east coast) only to find two posts. I know people play here in Reno. Are none of them computer savvy?

"Bring out your dead".....sorry I'm just quoting Monty Python.

I haven't looked here for a while. Since the snow melted I've been busy in Tahoe and Truckee. I pine for the trees.....the wind blows.

Everybody keeps asking me about the next nine in Reno. I don't know what to say.

I saw that there was some excavating at the tee areas a few month ago. Do we have tee pads yet? I could be a decent course......someday.
